The Foot position while braking in the Standing Center Of Balance & the Seated Center Of Balance, also through the transition from Standing to Seated. I have seen this really mess up body position and have riders fighting the bike…Yep a simple little thing like foot position.
When Standing, pivot the arch of your foot on the footpeg and depress the rear brake pedal with the ball of your foot.
When Sitting, lift your foot of the footpeg and depress the rear brake pedal with the ball of your foot.
Rear Braking During Transition Fom Standing To Seated: To control the rear brake through the transition from standing to seated, lift your right foot as you sit and shift your weight to the left footpeg!
